Lesson & Cancellation Terms

Scheduling

• Lessons are available by appointment and must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. • Sessions are typically 60 minutes long (with some exceptions), based on student need and agreement. • Recurring weekly sessions can be arranged to secure a consistent time slot.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

• There are no reimbursements for cancellations to lessons paid in advance. Students have the right to re-schedule these lessons. • A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. • Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be charged the full session rate unless due to emergency and/or tutor's discretion. • There are no reimbursements or make-up sessions for no-shows without 24 hours’ notice. Two consecutive no-shows will lead to losing time slot and fees paid will be forfeited. • If the tutor must cancel, a makeup session will be offered as soon as possible. If cancellation is made with less than 24 hours’ notice, the next scheduled lesson will be free.

Lateness

• Tutors will wait 15 minutes past the scheduled start time. If the student does not arrive within that window, the session will be marked as a no-show and billed accordingly. • If a student is late, the session will still end at the originally scheduled time, and the full fee applies.

Payment

• Payment is due in advance (within 24 hours before lesson starts) or at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed upon. • Accepted payment methods include credit cards, cash, CashApp, Venmo, and AppleCash. • Package deals (typically 4 or 8 sessions) are available at a discounted rate and must be started within 30 days of the day of purchase.

Technology & Materials

• Students are responsible for having a stable internet connection, working microphone/camera, and access to any agreed-upon platforms (currently Zoom). • Any shared materials or homework will be sent via email or shared drive.

Student Conduct

• Students are expected to be prepared, respectful, and engaged during lessons. • Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in the session ending early or the termination of tutoring services.

Parental Involment (if under 18)

• Parents are welcome to observe or participate in sessions, especially for younger students. • Communication regarding progress, concerns, or goals will be conducted regularly via email, text, or scheduled calls.
